A total of 73 contacts were made to individuals by means of facebook and email, the Strathnaver Museum, academics at the School of Scottish Studies, Edinburgh, the National Records of Scotland, Edinburgh and by letters to the editors of all newspapers in the Highland News Group. Including where I was able to self-help, the feedback was 53%. Respondants were interested in the project and often where unable to help directly, provided details of the names of people who may be able to help. I'm delighted to say that I will be working on some tunes that family members of native islanders remember listening to. Songs in both Gaelic and English. Thanks to everyone for listening and supporting. Looking forward to learning these tunes.
