We are excited to be bringing Scottish music to Glengarry Highland Games 2025. North America's biggest highland games outside of Scotland, over 33,000 visitors will descend upon the grounds in Maxville, Ontario on 1st and 2nd August. Atlantic Firth will perform on Friday 1st August in the Metcalf building. We will also perform in the Arena Hall, fiddle venue where Alastair (accordion), Ian (guitar) and John (keyboard) will be accompanying my fiddling. Then, on Saturday morning, 2nd August, I will give a 2-hour fiddle workshop. All the sheet music and midi files are online already. Participants can be working on the tunes prior to the workshop. On the day of the workshop, Atlantic Firth will join with participants in playing all the music. I will discuss and teach all the features of my playing; bowings, ornamentations, dynamics, variations and low octave melodies. Time permitting, I will teach a tune by ear. Players will have sheet music, audio and video recordings to take away. Myself and the band are really looking forward to sharing our style of music with players.
